Dr. Cathy Barrera
Founding Economist, Prysm Group, and Blockchain Program Director, The Wharton School
Dr. Cathy Barrera is a partner and founding economist at Prysm Group, a leading economic consulting firm in the blockchain and digital asset industry. Dr. Barrera’s work focuses on incentive design, token economics, monetization, and governance design for digital economies. She has led economic advisory projects for Fortune 500 companies and leading startups that have raised over $5B in capital and achieved over $300B in token market capitalization. She has been an industry expert in executive education programs at MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School, an academic advisor to blockchain projects at the World Economic Forum, and an opinion columnist for CoinDesk. She is former tenure-track faculty at the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and was the chief economist at ZipRecruiter.
Dr. Barrera received a BA in Communication Studies, Economics, and Mathematics from Northwestern University; an MSc in Applicable Mathematics from the London School of Economics; and a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University, where she studied under Nobel Laureate Oliver Hart.
Emiliano Vernini
Head of ICT Innovation Strategy, Poste Italiane
Emiliano Vernini is a ICT Project e Innovation Manager with over 10 years experience in managing innovation projects for large companies. Actually he is the Head of the ICT Innovation Strategy Department in Poste Italiane with the mission to support business innovation through the adoption of new technologies and to share the innovation mindset throughout the company. Over the last three years Emiliano has been leading all the blockchain projects for Poste Italiane.
James Edwards
Chief Researcher, Soramitsu
James Edwards, PhD is a researcher and consultant at Soramitsu Helvetia AG and a senior researcher at SINUS Markt- und Sozialforschung GmbH. He is keenly interested in innovative social research methodology, sociotechnical and socioecological systems, and the emergence and transformation of markets and market-based societies. At Soramitsu, he has focused on public-sector applications of blockchain, in particular central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and advanced regulatory systems.

Daniela Barbosa, General Manager Blockchain, Healthcare and Identity at the Linux Foundation and Executive Director of Hyperledger Foundation
Daniela Barbosa serves as General Manager Blockchain, Healthcare and Identity at the Linux Foundation and as Executive Director of Hyperledger Foundation with overall strategic and operational responsibility for staff, programs, expansion and execution of Hyperledger’s mission. Daniela has more than 20 years of enterprise technology experience, including serving for four years as Hyperledger Foundation’s Vice President of Worldwide Alliances with responsibility for the member community as well as broader industry and business community outreach and overall network growth. She started her career at Dow Jones where she worked with the top global brands across various sectors, including finance, consumer and energy, to architect and deliver enterprise systems, ontologies and semantic web solutions. In the early 2000s, Daniela became involved in the early web 2.0 community helping to advance the concept of digital identity and data portability as the pathway for people to reuse their data across interoperable applications.
