Hyperledger In Action: Production Deployments Across Latin America
Wednesday, August 24 • 9:00am – 9:30am – details
In just a few years, enterprises have moved from early-stage testing of blockchain technologies to proofs of concept to production systems. Now we are seeing accelerating adoption as enterprises put the blockchain to work as the foundation for core, cross-industry systems. Across Latin America, Hyperledger technologies are powering solutions that are introducing new efficiencies to existing markets and driving the creation of new applications, services, and even business models. In this session, Hyperledger Foundation’s Karen Ottoni will lead a discussion with two panelists who have rolled out Hyperledger technologies to meet the needs of the Latin America market. Marcos Sarres is CEO of GoLedger, a company that develops solutions based on government-issued blockchains to help unify and aggregate information between government institutions. He has deployed Hyperledger technologies in networks managing everything from natural gas stocks to public construction contracts. Ilan Melendez-Lugo is the LACChain Regional Lead & LACNet Business Development Lead at LACChain / LACNet, a public permissioned network targeting Latin America and the Caribbean that is hosting a growing number of applications and projects.
