Welcome to the Weekend Update. Our goal with this weekly post is to share quick updates about online education, networking and collaboration opportunities and resources for the open source enterprise blockchain community.
If you have suggestions for resources or events that we should spotlight in a future Weekend Update, let us know here using #HLWeekendUpdate.
Hyperledger Global Forum (HGF) agenda announced
The agenda details for Hyperledger Global Forum (June 8-10) went live this week. The virtual event, which is open to any and all who are involved or interested in using, developing or learning more about Hyperledger’s open source enterprise blockchain technologies, will take place in two segments each day, spaced across time zones, and feature real-time translation for more than a dozen languages.
The packed three days will include more than 100 sessions across business, technical and demo theater tracks. The sessions include an opening day keynote from Frank Yiannas, Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
HGF will also leverage a range of interactive features from the Hopin events platform, including live Q+A, chat and polling functionality, speed networking, virtual booths and Birds of a Feather and AMA break-out discussions, to make it easy to engage with speakers and other attendees.
Reminder: To encourage attendance by underrepresented/marginalized persons in the technology and open source communities, Hyperledger is offering scholarships to HGF. Recipients will receive complimentary registration to the event. Applications are due May 21. Go here to find out more.
